Mental health concerns tend to disproportionately affect military personnel. 1 in 3 veterans lives with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to being exposed directly or indirectly to a traumatic or overwhelming life experience. Reintegrating into civilian life can present challenges, and seeking help can be difficult due to possible stigma, re-traumatization, and lack of resources or support.
Our therapist will assist you in identifying challenges that may present while reconnecting to a new normal. Our therapists will help you to reassess the relationship you have with yourself, reconnect with family and friends, reenter the workforce, cope with starting a new chapter at a different pace, and any psychological effects from deployment experiences.
Military life can take a toll on each member of the family system, but we offer support to the whole family system. Our services are confidential. We do not report information to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs or other public, private, or government agencies.
Some of the concerns we commonly work with include the following:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Traumatic Brain Injury, Substance Abuse, Re-integration, Anger Management, Survivors Guilt, Suicidal Ideation, Grief, Relationship Building, Deployment.
Therapy appointments are typically scheduled once per week to build momentum, commitment, and progress.
