How To Use Victim Compensation Fund
Follow the instructions below to navigate the Victim Compensation Fund for mental health. Here is the basic information about the Victim of Compensation Board, which manages funds distribution.
CalVCB Customer Service at 1-800-777-9229. Fax your bills to 1-866-902-8669 (Client must do this step)
Email: info@victims.ca.gov. If you need additional help, please call the number above.
1. The client is responsible for submitting bills to the Victim of Compensation Board. Couples TLC Counseling cannot submit invoices on your behalf.
You must submit the Mental Health Billing Intake form to CalVCB. Download this form by following this link: Mental Health Billing Intake Form (ca.gov). After you fill out the form, provide it to your therapist to fill out their part.
2. The client is responsible for submitting the Treatment Plan to the Victim of Compensation Board. Couples TLC Counseling cannot submit a Treatment Plan on your behalf.
You must submit the Treatment Plan form to CalVCB. Download this form by following this link: Treatment Plan. After you fill out the form, provide it to your therapist to fill out their part and return it back to you.
3. The client is responsible for submitting the Additional Treatment Plan to the Victim of Compensation Board. Couples TLC Counseling cannot submit an Additional Treatment Plan on your behalf.
You must submit the Additional Treatment Plan form to CalVCB if more than 8 weeks treatment is required. Download this form by following this link: Additional Treatment Plan (ATP). After you fill out the form, provide it to your therapist to fill out their part and return it back to you.
