Helping individuals, couples and families throughout the world.
Attending individual therapy could be intimidating, let alone joining a group of strangers, but group therapy offers benefits that individual therapy may not. We welcome you to our groups. You may be pleasantly surprised by how enriching and rewarding the group experience can be.
Group participants receive feedback and support from other participants with similar difficulties in an environment where shared experience is valued. You are not alone!
Our groups are an 8-week commitment and consist of up to 12 participants. Our therapists ensure that the group atmosphere is caring, supportive, safe, and private. We offer groups based on your needs. Groups offered include:
Grief Support Group:
A grief support group offers a different quality of support and connection from being with people who have also recently experienced a loss. Grief support groups provide emotional support, validation, and education about grief.
Premarital Educational/Support Group:
The premarital group will help couples learn the skills they need to have a happy, healthy, emotionally rewarding, and lasting marriage. It will also help couples identify and communicate their fears, desires, beliefs, values, dreams, needs, and other difficult issues to discuss.
“Hold Me Tight” Workshop:
The Hold Me Tight workshop uses the principles from the research-based, most effective method for couples therapy today, called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The focus of EFT is to help partners understand each other’s deepest emotions – feelings that are often hidden, unexpressed, or misunderstood.
Anxiety and Stress Management Skills Group:
The anxiety and stress management skills group is designed to help bring balance into your life by utilizing proven skills and techniques for reducing stress. During group, you will be given tools to help handle stressful emotions that occur throughout your day-to-day. The group provides an excellent opportunity to reconnect with yourself through mindfulness practices and develop healthy responses to improve physical, mental, and relational well-being.
Anger Management Group:
During the anger management group, we explore the cycle of arousal and the phases of anger. You will learn to identify triggers and develop de-escalation techniques and regulation skills. The group’s purpose is to assist you in uncovering the root of your anger and managing it, avoiding violence, and providing you with the skills needed to mitigate your destructive thoughts and behaviors.
Social Skills Group:
The social skills group is designed to improve your ability to converse, develop healthy connections, perspective-build, and problem-solve. During group, you will practice and master social skills to respond more appropriately to situations, empathize with peers, and develop relationships.
